Domenico Cannizzaro was born in Reggio Calabria in 1983.
He began his career as a dancer at the age of 7.
He graduated in 2001 at the Attilio Da Empoli Technical Institute of Reggio Calabria. He started traveling in the world at the age of 14.
He has always practiced the Dance Sport in its entirety, competing ever since he was a child in the highest competitive class only achievable for sporting merits, the AS class, in both the Olympic disciplines the Standard Dances and Latin American Dances, and 10 Dance, discipline that groups them.
It is defined by the most famous masters and international experts the strongest talent of Italian and World Dance Sport as it is the only one in the world that can dance at the highest level both disciplines (Dances Standard and Dances Latine) as a specialist. Usually pairs of dancers who practice the combined 10 Dances tend to be stronger in only one of the two.
He has always represented the Italian national CONI with the FIDS Italian Dance Sport Federation, and competed in the WDSF World Dance Sport Federation.
At the age of 16 in the YOUTH category he won his first Italian Absolute Title and represented Italy in Ukraine at the World Championship where he crowned his first World Final, finishing in 4th place.
From Amateur and Professional he has collected 6 Italian Absolute Titles, 6 Finals at the World Championship, 3 Finals at the European Championship, and won the European Cup in Russia, a Final at World Cup, a Final at Blackpool Dance Festival, a Victory at the German Open Championship, and many other international successes.
His was a choice of life, dancing and winning international successes in sports halls, theaters all over the world, such as Royal Albert Hall in London, Winter Gardens in Blackpool etc.

Domenico has changed several Italian and foreign partners with whom he has achieved all his national and international successes in 10 Dance, Ballroom and Latin.
But his greatest sporting joy comes when he knows in 2013 his current dancer and partner Valeria Pittalis, a native of Sardinia (Sassari 1987).
With Valeria Pittalis has reached the completeness and the most absolute harmony to achieve the most impressive competitive results in Professionalism.
In fact, Domenico and Valeria, in addition to being Absolute Professional Italian Champions, are also 2 times Finalist at the European Championship and 2 Times Finalists at the World Championship of the World Dance Council WDC.
In addition they are the only Italian dancers who have achieved in the individual disciplines the Final at the Italian Absolute Championship of the FIDS in the same year.

The transition to PROFESSIONISM
Domenico is the youngest Italian belligerian to be turned to professionalism. At just 25 years and after earning Italian Titles, Finals in the World and Wins at the European Cups as an Amateur, he decided to switch to professionalism. Even more extraordinary that just passed has immediately won the 4th place in the World Championships Professional 10 Danze WDC. Concluding then his record as the youngest Italian dancer to win a Finale in the World as a Professional.

Domenico and Valeria are constantly engaged agonistically and professionally all over the world.
